Welcome to aswritten

Installable expertise from humans you trust. Cited by AI.

What is this?

Aswritten.ai turns expertise from the humans you trust into a citeable perspective for AI. Your AI tool — Claude (Code or Desktop), GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or any other MCP-compatible client — loads the perspective and answers grounded in actual organizational knowledge instead of guessing. Every answer cites where it came from.

MCP is the Model Context Protocol — the standard way AI tools connect to external data sources and capabilities. It’s how aswritten plugs into Claude, GitHub Copilot, and other AI clients.

Get started in 5 minutes

Three steps, same for everyone. The only fork is in Step 2: log in if your team invited you, or start an Expert trial if you’re setting up your own.

1. Install — once, from anywhere

Claude Code — registers aswritten across all your projects in a single command:

claude mcp add --scope user --transport http aswritten https://api.aswritten.ai/mcp

Claude Desktop — Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → Server URL https://api.aswritten.ai/mcp.

Other MCP tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, n8n) — add an MCP server with URL https://api.aswritten.ai/mcp.

Microsoft 365 Copilot is a different product and is not MCP-compatible. If that’s all you have, install Claude Desktop.

2. Authenticate

Open your AI tool and connect — a browser window opens.

  • Invited to a team? Log in with the email from your invite. You’re already on your team’s tier — nothing to pick, no card to enter. Your team’s plan covers you.
  • Setting up your own? Start your Expert trial. This is where you add a card. The trial is the real product, not a tour: it lets you add your own knowledge, which is the entire point of aswritten. A read-only preview would let you try everything except the thing that matters. See Pricing.

Claude Desktop has one extra step: you paste your perspective’s instructions into a Project, and start chats from inside it. The Quick Start walks through it click-by-click.

3. Load a perspective and add to it

Type aswritten in any chat. Your AI loads the perspective — the expertise, decisions, and methodology you or your team have built — and every answer cites the person and memory it came from.

Then do the thing only aswritten does: tell it something worth remembering. Your AI drafts a memory, you approve it, and your perspective grows. That loop — work, capture, cite — is the product.

New to building a perspective? The Onboarding Guide walks through your first memory, scaffolding your repo, and adding teammates.

Try a question

Once a perspective is loaded, ask your AI something only your team would know:

  • “What’s our position on [a topic relevant to your team]?”
  • “What did we decide about [a recent decision area]?”
  • “What’s still unsettled in [a domain you work in]?”

If the AI cites specific people and memories instead of giving generic advice, your perspective is working. If something seems wrong or missing, add to it with remember.
