Welcome to aswritten
Installable expertise from humans you trust. Cited by AI.
What is this?
Aswritten.ai turns expertise from the humans you trust into a citeable perspective for AI. Your AI tool — Claude (Code or Desktop), GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or any other MCP-compatible client — loads the perspective and answers grounded in actual organizational knowledge instead of guessing. Every answer cites where it came from.
MCP is the Model Context Protocol — the standard way AI tools connect to external data sources and capabilities. It’s how aswritten plugs into Claude, GitHub Copilot, and other AI clients.
Three paths in
You were invited to a team. Log in with the email from your invite — you’re already on your team’s tier, no sign-up needed. Then jump to Quick Start: If you’ve been invited to a perspective for the click-by-click setup.
You want to try it solo. Sign up for the Free tier, install your AI tool, and import a public perspective (or ask whoever pointed you here for a share ID) to see how citations work.
You’re building your own perspective. Sign up for Expert ($81/mo) and follow the Quick Start. Your AI walks you through scaffolding and creating your first memory.
Which tier should I pick? If you were invited, you don’t pick — your team’s tier covers you, just log in with the invite email. If you’re trying solo, pick Free. If you’re building your own, pick Expert. If you’re rolling out to a team, pick Team. See Pricing for details.
1. Connect your AI tool
Claude Desktop (recommended for non-developers)
- Open Settings → Connectors
- Click “Add custom connector”
- Name:
aswritten - Server URL:
https://api.aswritten.ai/mcp - Click Connect → log in with the email you were invited with
Claude Code (recommended if you have repo access)
- Run
/mcpand add the aswritten server:https://api.aswritten.ai/mcp - Authenticate when prompted
Other MCP-compatible tools
- GitHub Copilot, Cursor, n8n, and other MCP clients work the same way: add an MCP server with URL
https://api.aswritten.ai/mcpand authenticate with your email - Note: Microsoft 365 Copilot is a different product and is not MCP-compatible. If that’s all you have today, install Claude Desktop
2. Start working
Type aswritten in any chat. Your AI loads your perspective — the expertise, decisions, and methodology you or your team have built.
Everything your AI produces will cite where it came from. You’ll see footnotes tracing claims back to specific people and conversations.
Claude Desktop users — important. For the full workflow, you must (a) create a Project and paste your perspective’s system prompt into the Project’s custom instructions, and (b) always start chats from inside the Project (not the home screen). Without both, the connector activates but the workflow doesn’t load and the experience is significantly worse. See the Quick Start for the click-by-click steps.
3. Try a question
Once your perspective is loaded, ask your AI something only your team would know. A few good first questions:
- “What’s our position on [a topic relevant to your team]?”
- “What did we decide about [a recent decision area]?”
- “What’s still unsettled in [a domain you work in]?”
- “What’s missing from the perspective about [an area you care about]?”
If the AI cites specific people and memories instead of giving generic advice, your perspective is working. If something seems wrong or missing, you can add to it with remember or tell your team lead.
